Day Eight

I woke up 8:00am and got out the tent and had myself some breakfast and a cup of coffee. I packed up the tent and loaded up the ruck sac and set for Reeth via Gunnerside Gill. The weather is again warm and sunny and have my shorts on. I walked down to the waterfalls, but waterfall was in short supply of water. The views around are wonderful and I walked around to Swinnergill Mines, where plenty of people were around.

The weather is getting quite warm and lucky for me, I'd taken plenty of water with me. I climbed to the top level onto a good track that would take me to Blakethwaite Smelter Mill, then up the Gunnerside Hushes where it was very rocky in places. At the top it was a massive area of wasteland and easy to follow. I reached Level House Bridge, here I stopped for lunch. It’s not too far for Reeth and decided to take the high level path for Reeth, where I had some good views of Swaledale. I headed for Eastfields Guest House where I was booked in.
